With the conviction that the local church is the hope of the world, Steve planted Crossway in 2007 with 50 core members. Steve was ordained in 1999 in the Presbyterian Church and is a graduate of the Talbot School of Theology (M. Div.) and UC Riverside. In 2008, Steve was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity from Ebenezer Theological Seminary (Kerala, India) for his partnership to that ministry. Steve also serves on the board of ITS (International Theological Seminary), JAMA (Jesus Awakening Movement in America), and is a Council Member of the SOLANetwork. Steve and his wife Sharon have two daughters, Carissa and Ashley.
Rocky was raised in the San Gabriel Valley and is a son of “Issei” (first generation Japanese American) parents, who are the greatest influences in his life.
He became a follower of Jesus Christ at the University of Southern California in 1998. His life prior to being saved was a life that identified as being a football player, but Rocky shares that God used teammates sharing the Gospel with him to save him.
Sharla, the love of his life, and Rocky celebrated their 14-year anniversary last July. The Lord has blessed them with 4 children, 2 older daughters named Kaylani and Mia and 2 younger sons named Troy and Timothy.
After serving as a football coach for the past 18 years, Rocky has been called into full-time pastoral ministry to serve at Evergreen SGV.
Brandon grew up in Dallas, Texas and studied Political Science at the University of North Texas. While helping a friend plant a church in San Antonio he met his wife Cheri. They now have two beautiful children, Reese and Ellis.
Soon after they wed, the couple moved to Denver where Brandon initiated studies at Denver Seminary (M.A. Systematic Theology) and served as an Adult Ministries Pastor. Envisioning planting a church, they relocated shortly thereafter to Little Rock, Arkansas where Brandon studied as a church planting resident at Fellowship Associates.
Upon returning to Denver, they initiated the process of launching The Embassy Church in partnership with a dedicated team of friends that identified with the vision. Their sincere desire is to see that God is made famous in their city.
