JJ Raymond
JJ Raymond has served in Christian ministry and athletic leadership development since 2010. Based in Orange County, California, he currently leads regional efforts for Athletes in Action, a ministry that helps college student-athletes explore the intersection of sport and faith. His work focuses on mentoring and empowering college athletes—especially within the Asian American community—to grow in leadership, identity, and purpose within their sport and beyond it.
JJ is passionate about helping young leaders integrate their faith into everyday life and discover how their gifts and cultural story can make a lasting impact.
He graduated from California State University, Chico, with a degree in History and Social Science. His wife, Carly, also serves with Athletes in Action at UC Irvine, and together they have three daughters.
When he’s not working with student athletes, JJ can often be found fishing off the California coast, playing basketball, discovering new food spots, or spending time with family and friends—places where he finds rest, connection, and the same joy he hopes to cultivate in others.
