Yale Presbyterian Church of New York’s English Ministry known as Yale Christ Centered Ministry (“CCM”) consists of mostly second generation Korean-American members, but we also have brothers and sisters from other backgrounds. Yale CCM is Reformed in theology and Presbyterian in ecclesiology. Our attendees consist of a range of people, ranging from our youngest members who are freshmen in college up to those who are currently married with children. Along with a strong core group of members committed to deepening our understanding, experience, and love of the gospel, we aim to build up the body of Christ in our church and live out the implications of the gospel in our everyday lives.

Responsibilities

• Faithfully preach and teach the Word of God with expository sermons that are centered on Christ and the gospel
• Apply a biblical understanding and vision for healthy church growth and revival/revitalization while relying on the Spirit
• Help to build and cultivate a biblical and godly community through means such as (but not limited to) small group meetings, Bible studies, prayer meetings
• Maintaining routine pastoral care through counseling, visitation, and prayer
• Train, equip, and disciple future generations of leaders in the church and the saints for the work of ministry.
• Encourage and equip members to participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission through witness, evangelism, and missions
• Collaborate with Korean Ministry pastors and elders to maintain unity and shared vision across the whole church

Qualification

• Meets the qualifications of a pastor/elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Master of Divinity at an accredited seminary
• Ordination (or planned ordination) in a Presbyterian/Reformed denomination (other evangelical denominations to be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Fluent in English

Compensation

• Salary and benefits are contingent upon experience and education.
