ARTICLES FROM AROUND THE WEB

1. Tim Challies: What Does a Discerning Person Do?

“If our task as Christians is to glorify God by doing good to others, it stands to reason that the primary purpose of discernment is to serve our fellow Christians—to protect other believers and to protect the local church. In general, then, those who are skilled in discernment should be able to identify and expose the work of Satan as he opposes the work of God.”

2. Michaela Classen: Midwestern Seminary Leaders Visit International Ministry Partners, Celebrate Great Commission Faithfulness in Korea

“To effectively fulfill this mission, it is essential to understand and respect the unique historical, cultural, and political contexts of Korean churches, recognizing that the Great Commission is best realized when applied within these specific settings.”

The kind of unity Jesus is praying for is not a superficial unity. It is not just having a joint service or communion together. This unity is to be lived out through obeying Jesus’ command to love one another as he loves us.
