Daniel Eng is a husband, dad, preacher, teacher, and Bible scholar. After a decade of pastoral ministry in California and Texas, he is now pursuing a PhD at the University of Cambridge, researching the epistle of James. He has a Doctor of Ministry in Asian American Ministry (Talbot) and desires to see Asian Americans follow Jesus Christ and make an impact for God's kingdom. Daniel currently lives in the United Kingdom with his wife Sanjung and three daughters, Joanna, Josie, and Jessica. He is the author of James: an Honor-Shame Paraphrase (expected late 2018). He enjoys following his hometown New York Giants and Yankees, board games, and trying different types of cheese.
Kevin Yi is the youth and education pastor at Church Everyday in Los Angeles, CA and has been serving the middle school and high school students for over 15 years. He is a bi-vocational pastor and has been in the animation industry for over 10 years. He is the founder of truthmattersministries.com. He and his wife Tracy are celebrating eleven years of marriage together and have three children: Caden, Isabella, and Ian. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Talbot Theological Seminary.
P.J. Tibayan is a pastor-theologian of Bethany Baptist Church in Bellflower, CA, where he lives with his God-fearing and beautiful wife and their five children. He writes at gospelize.me and helps lead The Gospel Coalition LA Regional Chapter and the Shepherd LA Conference (for pastors). He is currently a doctoral student (DMin) in Biblical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary working on the book of Revelation.
Steve Bang Lee
Steve’s passion is designing a mobilizing gospel culture in the local church through vision casting, preaching, and leadership development. A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona and Talbot School of Theology, Steve serves as the college & teaching ministries pastor at Living Hope Community Church as well as the conference director of SOLA. Steve’s favorite things are his beautiful wife Angela and their children Isaiah, Elizabeth, and Aaron, but he also enjoys reading, surfing, and all things basketball.
Thomas Hwang is the Associate Pastor at Gospel Life Mission Church. Thomas received his B.A. in English at UC Irvine and, after spending several years teaching, received his Masters in Divinity at Talbot Theological Seminary. He is a member of the SOLA Editorial Board. He is married to Lynna and the father of two.
Hannah Chao is the editor and digital administrator for SOLA. She has been editing for SOLA's website since its inception in 2016. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A. in print journalism. Hannah attends All Nations Community Church, where she is also the executive administrator. She is a wife and mom of two beautiful girls.
Brett McCracken is a senior editor for The Gospel Coalition and the author of Uncomfortable, Hipster Christianity and Gray Matters. He lives with his wife and son in Southern California, where he serves as an elder at Southlands Church. Brett serves the editorial board in an advisory role.
