Dear SOLA Network Family,
It is with a bittersweet feeling that I announce that after seven remarkable years of being part of the SOLA Network team, I will be stepping down from my role as editor at the end of 2023. This journey has been an incredible chapter in my life, and I am so proud to be a part of the birth and growth of SOLA’s online presence.
Prior to SOLA, I was a mostly stay-at-home mom, with my dreams of editing lying dormant. I was able to rekindle my joy for the written word, and I wrote, edited, and built up the website to what it is today.
One of the greatest joys during my time here has been the privilege of working with a talented and passionate team of writers and thinkers. Your dedication to articulating the experiences of Asian American Christians has made SOLA a platform for authentic and diverse narratives that resonate with our readers and inspire me each and every day.
Together, we have shared stories that needed to be told—devotions and articles that have inspired, challenged, and encouraged people from across the United States and even around the world. It’s been an honor to play a part in amplifying the voices of Christians, fostering understanding, and contributing to the rich tapestry of our faith.
Beyond the written word, the relationships formed during this journey have been a source of immense joy. I have had the privilege of getting to know so many wonderful people, each with a unique story and perspective. The conversations we’ve shared have not only broadened my understanding of the Gospel and blessed me beyond words.
While I am sad to go, I am comforted knowing that SOLA Network will continue to thrive. The magazine has always been a collective effort, and I have full confidence in the capable hands that will guide it into the future as they bring fresh perspectives and energy to SOLA.
As I step down to devote more time to my family, I leave with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you, each one of you, for being an integral part of this journey—from readers to contributors to board members. Your support, dedication, and passion have made SOLA Network a true community of believers for and by Asian American Christians, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be a source of inspiration and connection for years to come.
