We’re excited to announce SOLA NETWORK’s inaugural Board of Trustees. These individuals have been active members of SOLA’s journey throughout the years, participating in conferences, contributing to the recently released book, and being regular contributors to our blog. This first class will serve a two year term. The Board of Trustees will oversee SOLA while the council will set the theological and vision direction. Please join us in extending a warm welcome!
Michael Lee
Michael serves as the lead pastor of All Nations Community Church in Lake View Terrace, CA. He moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California (USC), where he majored in philosophy. After graduating, he earned his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Talbot Theological Seminary. Michael is a co-founder, Council member, and chair of the Board of Trustees for the SOLA Network. Michael is an avid USC Trojan football fan, an enthusiastic golfer, and a donut aficionado. He and his wife, Alice, live in Arcadia with their two children, Seth and Brooke.
Faith Chang
Faith Chang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Certificate in Christian Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary. She serves at Grace Christian Church on Staten Island, where her husband is a pastor. Faith is the author of Peace over Perfection: Enjoying A Good God When You Feel You’re Never Good Enough and co-hosts the Westminster Kids Digest Podcast at the Westminster Bookstore. She also blogs at “Keeping Heart.” Faith is a member of the Editorial Board and Board of Trustees for the SOLA Network. She enjoys writing about theology, ministry, and the Christian life.
Will Chang
Will Chang is the Investment Specialist for Geneva Benefits PCA, where he provides strategic guidance to achieve competitive, risk-adjusted returns for managed funds. He joined Geneva in 2024 after serving as the Senior Pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in Fullerton, CA, for over 12 years. Before entering ministry, Will worked for nearly a decade at JP Morgan, Citigroup, and Andersen Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida and an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary. Will is a member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Team for the SOLA Network. He and his wife, Cathy, are proud parents of their two daughters, Rylie and Reese.
David Chung
David Chung earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Healthcare for Gafcon PMCM LLC. A visionary leader, David aims to “finish strong” by serving alongside like-minded leaders to develop the next generation of spiritual leaders who can impact the future church and expand God’s kingdom. He has served as a founding elder at Living Hope Community Church in Brea, CA, and as an elder and multicultural leader at Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue, WA. David is married to Susanna, and they have two children, Caden and Cara. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the SOLA Network.
Melvin Huang
Melvin Huang is currently a Senior Commercial Counsel at Air Products and has been practicing law for 14 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from The University of Texas School of Law. He is also pursuing an M.Div., which he expects to complete in May 2025 at Southern Seminary. Melvin is a member of Houston Chinese Church, where he has served as a lay elder, deacon, small group leader, and Sunday School teacher. He is passionate about inspiring, equipping, and sustaining the next generation of Asian Americans to be effective, fruitful, and faithful Christian leaders. Melvin and his wife, Stacy, live in Houston with their three sons, Titus, Philip, and Sammy. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the SOLA Network.
Owen Lee
Owen Lee has served as the senior pastor of Christ Central Presbyterian Church in Centreville, VA, since 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley and an M.Div. from Westminster Seminary, California. Owen is an ordained teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America and serves as the executive director for the Korean American Leadership Initiative (KALI). His passion is to preach the Gospel and support the Korean American Church by encouraging and empowering its pastors and leaders. Owen is a member of the Board of Trustees and Council for the SOLA Network. He is married to Margaret, and they have three adult children: Abby, Caleb, and Lizzy.
Jason Tarn
Jason Tarn is the Lead English Pastor of Houston Chinese Church, a non-denominational Chinese heritage church in Houston, TX. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed an M.Div. at Regent College. Jason grew up at Houston Chinese Church as a teenager and has been pastoring there since 2011. His passion is to bring healthy reform to the immigrant church, rooted in sound doctrine and a missional vision. Jason serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and Council for the SOLA Network. He is married to Theresa, and they have two daughters, Talia and Maisie.
