TGIF: Roundup for June 11, 2021

This week we finished sharing our content from SOLA Conference 2021. This year’s conference theme is “Witness,” and we hope to equip the local church to be a compelling witness despite our divisive and divided society and culture. All videos and transcripts are available on our website.

The SOLA Network exists to influence the emerging generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is because we believe in the power and sanctity of the gospel that we published our SOLA Network Statement on Min Chung.

Our monthly newsletter was sent last week — read it now and join for free to receive our most popular resources. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Podcasts. If you have an article or link to share, or if you want to share your reflections on SOLA Conference 2021, reach me on Twitter or Instagram.

Articles From Around The Web

1. Faith Chang: Learning to Grieve Anti-Asian Racism as an Asian American

“To weep over the dangers that we as Asian American women face is to affirm our God-given dignity and declare racist fetishization as demonic and evil as it truly is. To be sorrowful over the racism my children encounter is to recognize the wickedness in their being made to feel shame or fear because of their God-given ethnic identity.  To grieve is to agree with God saying in his Word that things are not the way they ought to be.”

2. Jay Kim: The Case for Analog Church in a Digital World

“The most creative, prophetic way to stand in opposition to the digital age is to lean into analog opportunities.”

3. Heidi Tai: Rethinking Productivity and Love in Pregnancy

“Although my pregnancy has been littered with unwanted challenges, God has used these moments to strengthen my faith and to reorient my priorities. I am learning that even thorns and thistles can become a means for my sanctification (growth in godliness) and lead to praise and worship.”
